NJC Equipment Hire is a 100% NZ owned and operated, award winning construction hire business looking for our next legend to join our tight knit family at our Kumeu branch.

The job requires a mix of driving our class 2 & 4 transporters along with class 1 delivery vehicles as needed. When you’re not in our vehicles delivering or collecting machines, you will provide support to our busy branch team helping with equipment maintenance, washing, pre-hire checks and some customer service to ensure we are providing high quality, reliable equipment to our customers everyday.

The successful person needs to have a Class 4 Licence, experience driving trucks with a clean driving record and ideally have experience transporting heavy machinery, although this isn’t a must.

We want a reliable, safe and self driven person with a positive customer focused approach to getting the job done.

A competitive wage with a guaranteed 50 hours can be negotiated depending on experience for the right applicant along with further benefits including phone and incentives.

ALL ROUNDER – FULL TIME – POSITION FILLED

NJC Hire is a 100% NZ owned and operated construction equipment hire business looking for our next star Equipment/Yard-person to join our tight knit family at our Kumeu branch.

The job requires a mix of customer service, equipment maintenance & yard work to ensure we continue to deliver a high level of service along with reliable, quality equipment every hire.

You will assist our equipment team with servicing, cleaning and generally staying on top of our equipment maintenance, have a strong customer focused approach in person and on the phone ensuring our customers are well looked after and have an eye for detail when using our rental software. When there is a demand, we may require gear to be delivered to site in a company ute, so a clean full licence is preferred.

The successful person needs to be reliable, bring an enthusiastic attitude, have a friendly customer focused approach, be proactive, hardworking and not afraid to get their hands dirty.

Experience in the industry or working with machinery would be beneficial but not a must, as training will be given to the successful applicant.

Hours and wages can be negotiated depending on experience for the right applicant.

PART TIME YARD PERSON – POSITION FILLED

We are looking for an enthusiastic person wanting to get a foot in the door to a growing business and busy industry.

We need a motivated, reliable person to join our Kumeu branch, initially in a part time role working Saturdays 7.30am – 2pm with the option to work a day or two during the week.

This role would suit someone looking to top up work hours, a student in their last years of school looking for part time work or a recent school leaver wanting to get into the workforce.

The job requires assisting our equipment team with cleaning, servicing and generally staying on top of our equipment maintenance, plus providing a high level of customer service when equipment is hired or returned. The successful person needs to bring an enthusiastic attitude, isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty and is proactive to help out where they can.

This is a great opportunity to join a progressive hire company with room to grow and move up the ranks with some work ethic, reliability, a willingness to learn and some common sense.

Experience around tools and machinery would be a helpful jump start but not a necessity as full training will be given.

FULL TIME COUNTER / YARD PERSON – POSITION FILLED

NJC Hire is a 100% locally owned and operated construction equipment hire business looking for a full time Counter/Yardperson to join our tight knit team at our NJC Hire Kumeu.

The job requires all round skills mixing front counter computer duties with hands on yard & wash bay work. The successful person will ideally have experience within the hire industry or with machinery.

You will need to assist with bookings & contracts, customer service & advice on the counter & phones as well as being an asset in the yard with customer service, equipment servicing, cleaning and generally staying on top of our maintenance. We value a strong customer focused approach both in person and on the phone, so this is an important cog in this role to ensure our customers are well looked after.

There are plenty of opportunities to progress and grow within our business, so someone that shows to be reliable, proactive, and enthusiastic will enjoy the benefits here at NJC.

We will provide training where required.

This is a full-time role Monday – Friday.
